The Inclusion, Access and Success Committee shall advance the association’s commitment to inclusion for under-served students, their parents, and the educational professionals who guide them. With that being said, MOACAC will host an Inclusion Conference with a focus on preparing students and parents for college success through process. Topics include:
- How to choose a College
- How to Pay for College
- Understanding A+ in Missouri
- How to Stay on Track to Reach Graduation
- Student Athletes (NCAA & NAIA)
- HBCU's, Rural Colleges and Community Colleges
Parents and students will have the ability to choose three topics of interest to attend for break-out sessions.
Lunch will be provided, so all dietary restrictions need to be communicated to MOACAC in advance.
Goals of the Conference
- Assessing and advocating for the needs of under-served students and their families
- Providing college access and success resources
- Providing programs pertaining to college access and success
- Managing the association’s annual scholarship
- Providing professional development for professionals working with under-served students
Inclusion Conference Scholarship
MOACAC will be awarding three one-time $750 scholarships for students who attend a 2020 Inclusion Conference. Winners will be randomly drawn after the conclusion of the 2020 Inclusion Conferences.
